Recently a seller on aliexpress was trying to FTID me. they delayed sending my package for a couple of weeks but then provided a tracking id when i launch a dispute. Several days later it shown that it is "delivered" but I legitimately couldn't find it anywhere.
The saving grace for me turned out to be the dispute I opened beforehand and got the refund on the ground of late delivery. It was not until much later that I realized the seller account were suspended and there were many negative reviews that said something along the line of DNA.
Do you think the seller actually got away scamming people before getting caught? I think e-commerce platform always favor the buyers so it is not the smartest move from them but what do i know, they maybe just get rich from a large quantity of small amounts scammed.
