Depending on your usage, It looks like a pretty decent build but 8 GB of Ram, Is the bare minimum nowadays.

If you're planning to run just the one VM along with multitasking, It'll chew the available memory.

Better go for minimum 16GB of RAM , thought I prefer min 32 GB. still depends on your usage. Just remember you are going t use this system for at least next 2 years. and technology grows very fast. so build like you wont get disappoint or your work wont get stuck after 1 year.

It's the best Investment I've made, never have to worry about running low on memory. I'm running three VMs simultaneously, as well as 50+ browser tabs open.

Even I have 32 gigs on both desk and lappy , so i know that feel to run multiple vms. tabs and reading big files/DBs like peace of cake.

Looks like a modest build you have. Despite what other people say, 8GB is still a good start. I've used 8GB of RAM before, and I was fine. Right now 2x4 can sell for under $40. So when you fell like upgrading, you probably won't have to spend much more than $80 in total for RAM.

Absolutely agree.

In my post above, you can clearly see the benefit of running 32 GB of Ram. As per the Image below, my other system Is choking with 16 GB.

I don't think I've ever needed more than 16GB of RAM. My main rig currently only has 16 and I've never had an issue. At most I run video games, some PS-like programs and do general browsing and video streaming. Surely your RAM needs would depend on what you were running/using your PC for?

Although, as Logan said in an earlier post, that's not to say things won't change, given how fast PC tech moves at the moment. I would recommend getting to 16GB as soon as you are able.

Thank you. Yeah I def plan to add another. I may do it soon. Also may decide to rebuild some of it. Haven't decided.
