Is Dry Ice only to make the carrier think theres something in the box, or because during a company investigation they will check the weight?
If you decide to drop off the package at the UPS store, they weigh it right away which is good because the weight of the package will then be labled on your package. As long as the dry ice sublimates before the comapny your boxing recieves it you are good. Because when they investigate, it will look like your order was tampered with/stolen in transit. So as long as the first time they weight the package it has the correct weight of the item...you are golden. Because you can call up the company and say the item was in the package according to the weight when you dropped it off at the UPS store.

Use a large box and wrap the dry ice in bubble wrap or something so it stays in the centre of the box. Still looks like someone stole it, leaving the bubble wrap behind. However this method probably doesn't work well in the hottest months since dry ice would sublimate to the point where smoke is seen and the temp diff of the box is large.

The forum is going downhill.
I have many SEs I would like to share with other contributors. Unfortunately, that is a very small percentage of the overall community, and getting smaller by the day. I have no incentive to contribute publicly and reward the undeserving. If you feel the same and would like to discuss privately, please reach out.

Thank you! On my comment above the one you quoted, do you know when they weigh the package, or at what stop?
Thank you!
The Very first time they weigh it is when you bring it into the store to have it shipped out.
