Everything I have, am, and will say is theoretical and a joke. If you think otherwise you are wrong. All posts are fictional, and all actions are intended to be in the best interest for others with no maliciouis intent

Besides, I was wondering how to know how much ice to put so that it corresponds to the weight of your object while ensuring that everything is melted in time.

It doesn't melt, It sublimates.

There are many factors Involved - direct delivery, stored at the depot then dispatched via a local delivery service, cross-country shipping, and the list goes on.

If It's not a direct delivery, you'd need to calculate the storage time.

Obviously the transit time must also be calculated - the last thing you need, Is for dry Ice to be present at the time the package was received and opened.
