The World

AION 2 returns players to the world of Atreia, but with a much larger and more detailed world than the original AION.

Players can explore cities, dangerous regions, dungeons and open-world areas while making use of the game’s expanded aerial movement system.

Flying is once again an important part of the AION experience, with vertical exploration and aerial combat playing a major role.


Combat & Classes

AION 2 features modernized MMORPG combat while retaining the class-based identity of the original game.

Different classes are built around different roles and playstyles, including damage, defense and support.

Character progression also revolves around improving skills, equipment and other progression systems as players advance.


PvE & PvP

Players can explore the world, complete quests, fight monsters, enter dungeons and take on more challenging encounters.

The world is designed around large environments, vertical exploration and more detailed locations.

Why I’m Interested

The biggest thing that interests me about AION 2 is whether it can capture what made the original AION memorable while still feeling like a modern MMORPG.

The combination of aerial movement, exploration, PvE, PvP and large-scale battles could make it stand out in a crowded MMORPG market.

If the progression and combat systems are done right, this could be one of the more interesting MMORPGs to watch.

The Defiant is a new WWII FPS that focuses on China’s War of Resistance against Japan. It’s set in a part of WWII that you don’t really see covered in games, which is what caught my attention.

The game has a cinematic look with snowy forests, villages, old weapons and large-scale battles. It looks like it’s going for a serious WWII experience with single-player and co-op features.
