I've been wondering about side hustles especially from being in the city, and what is still viable in 2026.

I've heard before from Uber drivers that they dont make enough like before due to the saturation of the hustle itself and the prices of Uber hiking up while their share/percentage decreases. Many of the Uber drivers who wre still operating work nearby airports where they're more likely to get customers even on off hours. However there's still uber driver's or plain taxi drivers who cut them out if business by parking closer to the exit of the airport where Uber drivers cant stand their vehicles at (since they have their own designated section).

I've also looked before into Amazon Flex. Working a single route to drop off either Amazon Fresh groceries or Amazon packages for $25/hour. It might be viable too but bioth this job and Uber require a car as well as the accompanying fees to manage and operate the vehicle.

What side hustles would you recommend in 2026 that are still viable for almost anyone to get into?

I have been providing services on Fiverr for several years now, and one of the biggest challenges has been reaching the right clientele for legitimate cybersecurity and network architecture projects. My background is in designing network environments, developing security labs, configuring segmentation, and building infrastructure that people can use for practical training and testing. These are the kinds of technically demanding projects I want to work on, but Fiverr rarely seems to connect me with clients who actually need that level of expertise.

Instead, I would estimate that around 80% of the inquiries I receive are from people asking me to complete their PNPT, OSCP, CPTS, or other cybersecurity certification exams for them. Some approach the subject indirectly at first, but the request eventually becomes clear. I decline every one of them. I worked too hard to earn my own certifications and build my professional reputation to risk losing them by helping someone cheat. The fact that people think they can get you to agree to this while it's all documented on Fiverr is a crazy mentality to have.

What makes this frustrating is that there is a major difference between helping someone learn and doing the work for them. I am happy to teach, build practice environments, explain difficult concepts, review legitimate projects, and help people develop the skills required to pass an exam themselves. After all, earning the certification is only the first step—the candidate still has to demonstrate that knowledge during an intensive technical interview and, ultimately, apply it in a real working environment.

I am curious whether anyone else offering legitimate technical services has experienced this on Fiverr. How do you position specialized services such as network architecture, secure lab development, and advanced cybersecurity training without attracting people looking for exam shortcuts? Is Fiverr simply the wrong marketplace for this kind of professional work, or have others found an effective way to filter these requests and reach serious clients?

They’re an artist, streamer, and novelist, so there’s a lot more going on than just gaming streams. They also have a presence across Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Discord, SoundCloud, X, and Kick.

Their streams run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 AM to 8 PM, so there’s plenty of time to drop in, chill, and see what they’re working on.
If you’re Filipino, you already know what that means. September hits and Christmas basically starts.

You’ll start hearing Christmas songs everywhere, decorations slowly start coming out, malls start putting up Christmas displays, and people start getting into the holiday mood.

Then October comes, November gets even more festive, and by December the whole country is basically in full Christmas mode.

Im currently residing in the US and have amazing access to a numerous amount of stores, fast delivery, consistent hot and cold water, and electricity and internet, however the price of things here and the cost of living is exceedingly expensive. This is the price for accommodation and convenience. I dont have any health issues or children yet, but if I were to move to another country to have a more affordable lifestyle, then education and health would probably be my top priorities there second to personal safety.

If I had to pick a country to live in, I'd probably pick Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, or Thailand. They're very rich in culture and have a lower cost of living. My regular income here could allow me a to afford several months of necessities and leisure in those countries I mentioned above. Plus, the tropical climate as well as the difference in culture makes it more relaxing and slow paced rather than the city life that Im currently living in the US. (And the crime rate is dramatically lower).

Here’s roughly what $1 USD is worth in each currency:

🇵🇭 Philippines: ₱62.27 PHP
🇲🇾 Malaysia: RM4.03 MYR
🇮🇩 Indonesia: Rp17,623 IDR
🇹🇭 Thailand: ฿32.95 THB

For $100 USD, that’s approximately:

🇵🇭 ₱6,227
🇲🇾 RM403
🇮🇩 Rp1,762,300
🇹🇭 ฿3,295
