Yeah, I meant you tell apple your battery was leaking and you only have the serial number Apple will replace your item and you return the item you got from Curry's to Curry's.

Surely Apple will request the damaged phone back? Also, did you show them proof of purchase?

You can't transport damaged lithium batteries through the mail. POP would be your legit receipt
