Without naming specifics, In my line of work, we never check the label- only what's listed on our systems.

The idea here is that the package goes missing in transit. Kinda like a reverse DNA. It will get scanned at the post office and maybe at the sorting facility before it becomes just a blank box. If the company reaches out to you about the missing package you can prove that you did your part returning the item and the tracking info will show that it did not get delivered.
