Yes that's the plan, although I will first do the DNA on the phone, then send back an empty box with the airpods.

In terms of the methods you're planning to use, the DNA pretty much speaks for Itself, so you're good to go. As for the AirPods and given they're extremely light, boxing without substituting the weight will suffice.
