This time it didn't work, and amazon said to me that they received an empty package.
They had refunded me in advance while the package was in transit, and they also told me that they will charge my card again in 10 days if I don't send the item back to them.
Now, what if I report my card as lost and get a new one? They won't be able to charge.
But it will be a clear as day indication that it is refunding. No benefit of the doubt like "my package got stolen" etc. It's just plain deleting the card to avoid being charged.
Do you know what amazon would do?
This is my first refund on this amazon domain, but I have used another domain (my main country) in which I have another account with 10+ years of orders and three big refunds (I never received a warning email also).
The email is the same in both accounts (and same card, same address), as I was told that generally different amazon domains are not linked.
What would you do in this situation?
What about disputing it with Amazon? Contacting them and telling them that you had sent the package back and it is completely not your fault as to why the item is not in the package? I have heard some stories from word of mouth about people disputing and constantly annoying Amazon about it and actually acting like a customer who has returned the item. Chances are this may work as management will get annoyed and tired of everything, and will no longer pursue. Maybe you could also contact your bank as well to ask about it. You're a customer and as far as you know, you've returned the item. Just my two cents, please keep us informed on what occurs.
I'm trying this route for now even if I have little hope since I saw that Amazon can be immovable sometimes.
