I know that X courier picks up parcels from Y shop at roughly Z time each day. I proceed to drop a parcel at Y shop an hour before the Z time. I have affixed to the parcel a prepaid label that I've just pronted to return my parcel to Amazon.

I know that it will be sent either next day delivery or standard (a few days). 12 hours from Z, the point in time at which my parcel was picked up by X courier, the parcel is in transit still.

As it is probably either very late in the evening, or early hours of the morning, before the parcel would be out for delivery. At this point in time, give or take a few hours, the pre paid shipping returns label that I printed off and affixed to the parcel, happens to loose all ink on it, and go completely blank.

It's hard to follow a sentence In a single paragraph. I've broken down the main points.

Given the carrier collected the package "before" the label had the time to lose Its Ink, don't you think the driver would've already scanned, Identified It and marked It for delivery to Its destination?

Exactly the point which i am unsure about. Sure he might know roughly where it has to go. Regardless he will still have to scan the package (from my observations) before releasing it to the receiver, to mark it as delivered in the system. No?

Perhaps just my understanding of how courier systems work are not at the same level as yours. Perhaps they work slightly differently in the UK.
