I did hear from someone who usually finds a McDonalds local to the distribution centre to send it to (via editing of course). My only worry is, John Lewis require a postage receipt when the item is sent.

Last thing I want is John Lewis to only issue refund after they’ve checked the parcel / they check the tracking barcode on my parcel.
One of the FTID methods, Involves showing the tracking number as delivered (carrier-wise), but the company has no physical nor administrative record of the package.
As such, they obviously cannot check the package on their end.
