Nonsense.

Carriers have so many delivery runs on a daily basis, and this guy just happened to remember yours?
They're trying to SE you (so to speak).

The GPS of our driver places him at the correct location.

Does the GPS confirm that you personally received & accepted the package?

Evidently not.

Our depot spoke to our driver who said your customer was behind the flat door and he told him to leave your parcel in front of the door. He said he does not want to open door.  

The driver must be very dedicated to specifically focus on your delivery, and also has an amazing memory to remember every minute detail.  Again, this Is complete nonsense.

last point of contact was that email and i responded to it right after. no reply just yet but i’ll keep you updated. appreciate the help.
