@mothered

Thank you in advance.

I personally modify everything other than the tracking bar code.
If you don't modify address, you have a risk of them tracing your package to your order.
If you do modify address, you have a risk of them claiming to never receive your package and go into long-drawn investigations - though I suppose this can also happen even with original address.

Yup that's so true, its just someone told me on their online tracking it said "address error", and another person told me the online tracking showed the delivered GPS location. Thanks for answering.

Do you know if those little QR codes are traceable? According to the ebook they are nothing more than additional tracking labels that are only used by the courier company. True? I feel like not enough research and online resources have gone into mentioning these additional barcodes.

Hmm, I've never ran into address error. I always put in a valid address though. This may be courier-specific. With my FTID tracking numbers, they don't have any GPS location or anything, just the city/state.
You can scan the QR/Maxi code and see what information you get. Also Google can help you out, since different couriers have different labels.
UPS QR code will give information about the destination I believe.(Edit: found an interesting link: https://www.barcodefaq.com/2d/maxicode/ ) I think most of the bar/QR codes are just for the automated parts of delivery. The actual delivery is from the human-readable text. I'm not sure on that one though - just a speculation.
