Do this and in most cases police wont do anything however due to the large sum they could do something however just fill in a police report and show it to them.

I've decided to return it after the 24th of May, then do multiple small refunds and buy the item legitimately.
Seems highly sketchy and would probably warrant a bigger red flag on your account. How'd it turn out?
