As stated above, you add dry Ice to match the weight of the Item.

It sublimates (turns to carbon dioxide, not liquid) during transit so when the package Is received, It's empty with no signs of Inconsistencies.

So I say I’m returning it and add dry ice to match the weight?

Correct.

The weight will be recorded on consignment but by the time they receive It, the package will be empty.
