Precisely.
It's the faceless corporations that don't do the right thing by their customers, that some hackers tend to target, exploit and expose all data. Unfortunately, It's the Innocent who've simply registered an account who also feel the ramifications of the data breach.
And so they shall be shown exactly why they should not give up any information to a corporation that doesn't give them guarantees on its usage of said information.
They don't like It when their systems are compromised, but when the average consumer/client's details are at risk, they tend to turn a blind eye.
On-topic, If It were exposing data of a particular "entity" (and not personal user Information) who was responsible for neglecting the privacy of It's users, I'd certainly do a lot more than that for 100 million. And believe me, It "can" and "will" be done.
