The serial numbers and etc aren't stickers but printed on the bottom of the laptop. So, I was wondering if it was feasible to get a refund by just swapping out the bottoms so the serial number for the new one is on my old one and sending that back for a refund.

On the grounds they scan Items via their serial number, I don't see any reason why this shouldn't work.

That's If they do check their returns to begin with.
