did you have to use any boxing method? or do they do replacements where they will ship the phone to you first?

When I did them, it's similar to Google, you email them and say it doesn't work, give the imei and then they'll ask for pop, I gave them an Amazon receipt and I think they only did that to check the price, etc. Anyways, after I boxed them and after a couple of weeks I followed up and they said it was lost in transit so they sent me out a new device.

I can't confirm if Google cross-checks. It's better if you say it was a gift.
