I was going to try to use the "corrupt file" method but I highly doubt it's going to work since they want me to upload the video to YouTube.

Whilst I agree that starting from scratch Is a good option, alternatively, simply send an Invalid YouTube URL by changing a single char. The method Is much the same as a corrupted file. Be adamant that It's working on your end and (as with corrupted files), keep sending Invalid links by changing different parts each time. This will give the Impression that you're re-upping the video.
