A note inside wont do anything, because they have thousands of returns every day and no one cares about them that much. Sooo, your best game here is to wait for their answer and then do what you've decided.

Is it worth creating a return if they don't refund me? Meaning, from the returns option on the item? The only reason i can think that they've done this is because there has only been one purchase on the account, the account is clean though. I don't know if it's worth it. I could start the return now before they even get back to me, but that's very risky. If they don't refund me then i can't even send the product back and say that somebody took it etc.

Chances of a refund/replacement? The item cost just under £300 but also has the weight on it. :/

(Just to be clear, i mean sort a return with just the booklet inside)
