Thanks for the write up and your work. It really cleared some things up for me and I've personally put in a fair amount of personal time on these Nextbooks. I learned a lot and I love the challenge. I took a bit of a different path back in the beginning to try and remove the activation lock, but using ADB was one option I first considered and I believe I even mentioned it in one of my first posts. Shit like this takes a lot of research and I know how tedious ADB commands can be. I have used ADB quite a bit personally and I am still constantly searching and researching every aspect of using it. I applaud your work and I appreciate you clearing up what has happened and also for making such an easy solution to the activation lock problem.
I also agree on providing this information for to everyone for free. It crossed my mind to make money off of this information, but I was never in it for the money. I would be a fucking idiot if I was, because there sure as hell isn't much to be made off these shitty tablets. These things are hardly worth the $20 you might make from unlocking one. Plus, most people buying these tablets are likely are not the most financially successful people in the world. You get what you pay for most the time in life.
Anyway, I'm glad you took the time to do all of this and to share it with everyone. I hope everyone who comes to this thread reads through what you wrote so they have a clear picture of what has happened and what is going on. Your solution is a great one, but what about the devices without any ADB access or even a easy way to interface with? I am just curious if you have looked into it at all or what your input is on it? If your like me then I am sure you have some ideas floating around in your head about those devices and how to remove the activation locks.
Thanks again and I look forward to your update on the boot loop issue. Just from what you mentioned I have a good idea of what to do to recover it so I will look into that more myself.
