When you say use a fake signature, do you mean still put my name on delivery address but when I'm signing it just use a random name? Isn't this just like when they leave it at your neighbours and they have to sign for it?  Also on method two won't the box be weighed?

Regarding your question, Yes.  Put your real name on the package, but if signing is required, make up a name eg: John Smith.  I never liked the neighbours' method as I have gotten the carrier to actually come to my neighbours and talk to them about the situation.  Lots of the time the box will be weighed.  In that case, you can either 1. Say the box was broken into (this will fuck with your carrier so be careful). Or 2. say you received the packaging, but no item.

Yeah, I'm new to both forums and I get that impression from MP... everyone seems a lot chiller and a lot more knowledgeable on here.

I'll definitely give this a try and keep you posted with how it turns out. I'll probably use the box was empty or the "I only received one shoe" method.
