AR means Advanced Replacement for you guys that asked. Companies like Dell do this when they have a credit and billing address in hand to ensure they get their item or money one way or the other. If you do what OP suggests, you have to return the GPU to them, or you get billed. The only way to avoid this is using a drop address and not connecting your real name in any way. If it were that easy just about everybody would do it.
I'm confused as to whether or not you're saying this is or isn't possible using the drop address & fake name. If I do what the OP said, but use the drop & fake name, this will work?
yes and if you get a bill who cares it wont be under your name ..
Well of course I won't care, I just wanted to make sure the method would work before investing the $50 into a VCC. I've only used a VCC once that had $5 before. Do they withdraw the $50 from the VCC before shipping or would I be able to use the $50 elsewhere are the replacement has shipped?
