First , Search on ebay or find yourself a serial .
Thin Google Nvidia Product Registration .
Register your GPU.
once , it is registered you should get a vcc with 50$ on it and you will have the choice to buy a AR . Thin set up your advance replacement to happen .
(Works on almost every GPU they have under warranty .)
You have good intentions OP, but sadly it's not this easy. AR means Advanced Replacement for you guys that asked. Companies like Dell do this when they have a credit and billing address in hand to ensure they get their item or money one way or the other. If you do what OP suggests, you have to return the GPU to them, or you get billed. The only way to avoid this is using a drop address and not connecting your real name in any way. If it were that easy just about everybody would do it.
I'm confused as to whether or not you're saying this is or isn't possible using the drop address & fake name. If I do what the OP said, but use the drop & fake name, this will work?
yes and if you get a bill who cares it wont be under your name ..
