Tip: Don't watch too many things at the same time.  Keep it at a max of 3.  Naruto, Pokemon and DBZ are exceptions to this.

Also, subbed is better than dubbed, even if it takes a while to get used to.

That's ideal.
Having a really long thing like Naruto on the side is fine, since you won't have as much concentrated plot shoved in your face at once.
