Not sure if its any different in UK. But I have had success easily refunding around $300 with invoice only or not arrived method.

Forgive me, but I had no idea they sold shoes that pricey! What shoes were they? O.o

Refund worked perfectly. I just said I received the socks but shoes were not in the package.
The shoes are their signature collection, Adidas Ultra Boost, extremely well made.
