I have never tried Soylent, but I watched this video on it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8NCigh54jg , as for food replacement, the idea has been around forever and I have done several of them over the years and while the idea sounds appealing on paper, I could never just make the switch from solid to liquid. Other popular food replacement drinks have been trying for years to make their shit taste good, so far the two best are probably (imho) Carnation instant breakfast (now called Breakfast Essentials) and the pink "strawberry" Slimfast (vanilla and chocolate always tastes of soured milk) but if you enjoy it, keep on doing it.
