I've been up all week with this nasty cold that keeps my nose filled, and a throat so sore it feels like I'm swallowing my own stomach acid. 

I've been looking up remedies, but I want to make sure I can get all of any type of suggestions, that's why I'm here.

What do you guys recommend for a cold? 

and please be truthful/respectful. Don't post anything like drinking alcohol, or "gtfo out of your computer and go outside".
