Interesting. MS has been pushing gaming on windows 10 alot harder. Perhaps MS is trying to coexist? More likely tho, valve is just buying these domains to have them, either for future unplanned events, or to deny MS these domains.

Microsoft wouldn't have access to purchase a subdomain on a domain that Steam/Valve already owns.

Either going to be some form of Steam Games ported to the Xbox, or some Xbox-Steam connection, IMO.

Can't imagine an actual partnership between Steam and MS to exist side-by-side however, their ideals are too contrasting with each other.
