I'm not sure where you've been doing your research, but professional logo designers that do work for logos that actually mean something. You know like Fedex, Amazon, Tostitos, vaio, Toyota.. not to mention all the rest. All of these companies logos have something that has a relevant touch to what the company is about.



This is Toyota's logo. The most simple of icons, yet was so complex.

I was going to say, there are logos that basically have the initials or the name of the company, written in a certain way, as the logo. For example, IBM. And they have the potential to look awesome.

I'm not sure why you've given Toyota as an example. How does their logo tell you anything about what they do?
