did not understand...... (based on Ubuntu which is based on Debian... lol saaaayyyyyyy what? so ubunta is linux? im so confused with it all and backtrack im guessing is like hack wifi or ip addreses or is it like ip of a websit and hack it lol? is it hard to learn to use linux?

Ok, if your not familiar with Linux don't care about what is based on what =)
BackTrack is linux distribution, like Windows 7 or Windows XP is windows distribution.

And basically you can do anything with it.
You can hack a WiFi network, then set-up a fake/phishing site, use ARP poisoning to redirect everybody on the WiFi to your fake site and steal their passes.

OR

You can hack a whole computer by just an IP

I've heard some things that linux is free OS.Is that true or i need to buy a licensed....
I've also heard about "the magic stick"(BackTrack) but is it complicated as they say?
