ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

I'm taking on the big-box cybersecurity companies myself.

For too long, talented penetration testers, bug-bounty hunters, students, and independent researchers have faced the same choice: pay hundreds or thousands of dollars for professional software, or work without tools that could help them reach their potential. A one-year license should not be the price of admission to serious security work.

Enough is enough.

My mission at Encrypted Syntax Labs is to build software that challenges those prices without asking people to settle for less. My goal is to deliver the best features I can build for less than $30 per license, with lifetime updates so customers receive new improvements as they are released. I want people to buy a tool they can keep using and see it grow over time.

PortSwigger and Caido were first on my list. Ember Divide™ is the first software we've fully released toward that mission: an independently built workbench for authorized web and API security testing. It is the beginning of what I intend to build, not the end.

Tenable Inc. is next on my list. I want to challenge the idea that capable vulnerability assessment and scanning software must cost thousands per year for a single seat. That will take real development and testing, and I intend to put in the work.

I know these companies have spent years building mature products. I'm not asking anyone to take my word for it. Judge what I build by its actual capabilities, reliability, and usefulness in the field.

The affordable licenses are a step toward my larger goal: eventually making every Encrypted Syntax Labs product fully open-source and removing the price tags altogether. I want anyone with the ability and ambition to learn, build, and conduct authorized security work to have access to capable tools, regardless of what they can afford. That is the future I'm working toward.
