The fact is that people were doing too much disputes lately and this is (maybe) why PayPal is now starting to review similar disputes more thoroughly before they are approved. You may even come to such a conclusion yourself when you carefully read this forum and posts about PP.(02-14-2024, 01:23 AM)jefff Wrote:(02-13-2024, 11:41 PM)Roadman Wrote: If you cancel you cannot open another one. You told paypal PEB so I'm not sure why they didn't ask you to file a police report or an affidavit. I think wait solely because you can't open another one if you close it.The claim has just started to be analyzed by PayPal and they are to write when they need something from me so maybe they will ask me to file a PR or affidavit soon, I hope not, but we'll see.
In the meantime, generate the return label from the company you bought it from. You can generate it before 30 days, and you can send it back after 30 days if needed. Its just important to generate the return label before 30 days/14 days/whatever the return timeframe is, because once the timeframe is up you can't generate one.
Thank you for the return label tip!

Thats the first time, paypal acting so wierd.
Do you already have an action plan? You continue with the claim or cancel it?
(02-14-2024, 12:38 AM)Roadman Wrote: Yes me as well. Paypal claims are starting to become harder.Maybe it's because recently people have been overdoing with disputes on stores that do not respond to PP. PP just got down to work and is slowly starting to verify the situation.
Usually it's an instant "we have raised a claim and the company has 10 days to respond" but now they make you wait multiple days before they officially open the claim and send it to the company.
Any info backing this?

In your case, I think you managed to file what you wanted, a dispute in which the seller has 10 days to respond, and if he does not respond within this period, you will get your money back.
We are talking about a problem in which PayPal itself immediately transforms our dispute into a claim, so we cannot be dependent on the seller's response.

ic3.gov is for internet crime so how would it work in case of EB/DNA/MEB/PEB ?
