I’ve never done it but my previous attempts were very ill executed, I didn’t realize that mouse has 2 serial numbers and I thought you only needed the on in the box. Did you find used listings that have the mouse opened from the box? Also, does the 2 serial thing apply for all products like keyboards? Thanks 

Every Logi product has 2 S/N, so using one on the box is for nothing, and also they don't have to be the same. For Mouse, i tried to register the product with SN from box, they asked me for the SN on mouse. I SE-d some seller and sent to them, they didn't cross-check if Box and Mouse SN are the same, and i think they generally don't do that.

I can confirm they don't crosscheck if they were from same package.
