for Zippo, was refund an option or were they strictly pushing for replacement? also what was the total amount?

I was just sent out replacements, they never said refund at the time

Any update on Lenovo? Filing a police report by mentioning the parcel looked tampered with should force pp to close the case in your favour.

No worries if you decided to send it back legitimately instead, I respect your decision.

Local police station would not raise one and I wasnt going to lie about the tampered box after having it in writing elsewhere that it wasnt.

I submitted a report on Action Fraud which PP accept, so now its just a waiting game again
