I actually just started wfh about 2wks ago...part of the reason I jumped back onto this site, trying to do anything and everything to kp my mind occupied at night. My son started having frontal lobe seizures in his sleep due to a genetic mutation, and I took 6mos off from travel/per diem work. I pretty much just keep an eye on him till he gets upe, and work a few hours in the am. I feel so bad for the kid...he worked so hard at school, was supposed to graduate early in a few wks, and this shit hit him out of the blue. He can't remember 1 day to the next, the meds do nothing for him, and I can't stand not being able to help him.
But back to wfh/io.. I love traveling, and the per diem is sweet af, but I'm just thankful I have the means to work here at the house atm.

I'm very sorry to hear what you guys are going through. That must be incredibly difficult. I can't offer any solutions but I hope for the best for you both!

I suppose we're lucky to be living in the times we do where there's more infrastructure and tools for WFH, but also a mindset where businesses are more open to it. Some of the social/workplace stigma around WFH has changes a lot too, especially so since the pandemic.

@ JigglyPuff
Thank you so much for the kind words! I dont like sounding *Poor me* but I have learned over the yrs that most people in our "hobby" are pretty kind/down to earth for the most part...only reason I shared it. Again..Thank you JP! Its the first time I've logged in since I posted, and I couldn't of read it at a better time. (Btw, Jan17 he has a good chance to get approved for an implant that is 85% effective when meds don't help...I have a gd feeling about it 😊

Anytime! Best of luck!

As above, hate the commute but miss the social interaction. Have a rule that all women in the workplace get a +5 rating, but only during work hours. For example, an absolute dog (solid 3) is an eight that you would rail over a table in the boardroom, but only during 9-5... at 5:01, you feel deeply ashamed for having those invasive thoughts.

Ahh, it's the little things in life that get you through...

Truthfully, I have no idea what the +5 rating means and I understood very little of what you said, but I got a very uncomfortable feeling reading it.

Best of luck learning to control those invasive thoughts...
