I have heard people have good success with the pickup return method.

Most mattress companies have free trials and free returns. Use it for 2-3 weeks and make a return, say you don’t like it. They’ll hire a third party company that recycles / donates the mattress. When they come to pick it up tell them that you decided you’re gonna keep it.

Tell the mattress company they picked it up and you’re waiting for your refund.

In the midst of moving in, this method sounds really nice. But it’s easy to backtrack with delivery companies. (Small)
