Interesting, thanks.  Did they send you a full replacement desk (motor included), or just the wooden plank?

Yeah I just said all the parts were missing holes etc lol.

It seems you just got lucky as they didn't request any pictures and the material to be sent back

Maybe, I did send a photo of my photoshopped holes, but they didn't ask for anything. A manufacturer like this wants to send you replacement parts so that you don't do an Amazon return as they're very costly for the seller, especially a desk thats heavy.

Have a pretty easy method I figured I’d share.

Order something on Amazon that is sold by a 3rd party seller but shipped via Amazon.
I ordered a sit/standing height adjustable desk.

Once you get the package go on Amazon and contact the seller (make sure the seller is the manufacturer of the item) and tell them that all the pieces you received don’t have holes drilled for you to assemble.

They’ll ask you what pieces don’t have holes, they’ll likely send you a photo out of the user manual so you can tell them all the parts don’t have holes.

If they ask for photos just take a quick pic of one piece and photoshop over the holes, very easy cut and paste. Mine didn’t ask for photos though.

Once you receive those replacement parts, you can return the package to Amazon for a full refund, super easy.

I discovered something similar a while back accidentally when I ordered a gaming desk on amazon. Price was $400 CAD. I realized that 2 of the holes in the desk were a bit too big for the screws so I sent them photos of the holes, didn't even need to put the screws next to it for reference, they just refunded me my money back. Did it a few more times using different accounts and just sold the desks.

Sick!! That usually only happens if its sold by amazon as well.
