I think what has happened is that all your orders over the years from Amazon.de didn't count and amazon UK treats you as a new customer.

Yes I think that will be the case. There is only this order visible on the .co.uk acc. Also my gift card balance was on 0 even though I had over 1.5k in balance on .de

Go to your order page and click order details. Tell me if it says processed refund or refund complete in green writing. If not, you haven't received your refund.

At this point the status continues to say delivered on both items.
However I have received 2 emails confirming the refund of both items with the correct value. The money should be available in 5-7 business days.
