I've been trying to get a replacement from Philips using an SN with a warranty. All in all, it's been going smooth but I'm just a bit loss on what I should do next.
I found someone's SN online and got a photo of the bottom of the toothbrush, photoshopped some photos here and there, faked a BestBuy receipt and they've now agreed to send a replacement. (This is Canada Philips Support, and it's for a Philips Sonicare Prestige Electric Toothbrush).
I didn't have a drop address, but I live in an apartment building. I used a fake name and they're sending it to the address without any specific apartment number.
But thing is they're also asking me to send the original back (they said they've included a label for the return). I'm not sure if I should make up a fake story about how it started overheating and I proceeded to recycle it as e-waste (basically telling them I no longer have the original toothbrush), or if I should just ignore them after I receive the product. Or even further, should I try double dipping and saying the first one didn't arrive? Really not sure what to do.
Would love to hear any advice.
I'm in the UK so it may be different but they never keep up with the return requests. They aren't waiting for you or return the toothbrush and they don't send reminder emails. I don't think they really keep track of the returned toothbrushes. I along with 2 others have had the toothbrush for 2 months and never had any email asking about sending the brush back. You are fine to just ignore the return shipping request.
Do you think it would be a good idea to do a double dip DNA? No signature was required & the delivery guy took a random photo for the delivery proof (can't even tell what the picture in the photo is).
