Private contractors, yes.

Carrier employees, no.

Its the industry norm over here. It's called the gig economy. All DPD drivers are "self-employed" for example. Same with Evri. DHL is mixed and the Royal Mail is desperately trying to switch to the self-employed driver model. Open ur eyes
