Yep. In cases like this where you can't make a police report (because it's not a police matter) they will wait some amount of days and then make a decision.

So on Saturday I dealt with the police report and they said come back on Monday in order for them to validate the report during the Police’s business hours or something. So its Monday and I just spoke to them and now they’ve told me  “ I have reviewed the order and this case is being handled by our Specialist team, I will need to refer you to them. Please allow 48-72 hours for them to give you an update via email.  “

what’s going on? are they just going to delay it even more in 48 hours or is there something I can do right now other than wait
