Has anyone had any success purchasing a new electronics item from amazon and returning their old one (same brand/model)?

Amazon Is meticulous with checking returns, so the probability of failure Is high.

It would interesting if we could gather some information about how meticulous Amazon employees are in every country. Mothered, do you think we could do something like that? We could gather information through anonymous polls and maybe define a sort of framework, a range, or something, based on empiric evidence of other users of the forum. Would it make sense?
