Hello,
I ordered an item below 120g online and collected in store,
When I was at home, I contacted support and said the item was missing from the box (MEB)
I'm certain he was convinced but said that I needed to go into the store, in person to get a refund/replacement.

When I went in and stated my issue the guy said that, "people are buying apple seals and returning them and that is why this might've happened"
They seem concerned because it might've come from their warehouse and not the central one (something along those lines).

But as far as I'm aware this is a brand new product and this should've come straight from the manufacturer.

They called a manager over who asked me a couple questions, who is it for, when did I get it, order number etc

They asked if I still had the box, I said I was bit angry and threw it out,

He mentioned they needed to investigate (understandable), but he wanted the box to check the serial number.
But what I don't understand is, what does the serial number matter if they can't confirm the product was inside unless it is pre-owned/returned and to my knowledge it is not.
He said bring the box back in, I did say this could've been thrown away, we will give you a replacement and open it to show that it is actually there, (I'm planning to accept the replacement and return it normally later)
I need advice on whether this sounds normal.

I’m no expert but I’m assuming they can trace it and see if it’s been turned on and who’s account to… I would leave it till your refunded I’m assuming it’s an Apple Watch or something.. if anyone says anything say it fell out the box without you noticing or something
