This is a very annoying habit of mine that costed me many, many opportunities. I'm too prudent, and like to imagine all kind of scenarios to avoid surprises  — I hate getting surprised, everything needs to be smooth and my mind blocks at even the smallest detail. I do have a question : what if I use the Empty Box method in case there's an OTP? Without an OTP, I'll go along with the basic DNA and just do fine, but if there is one however, wouldn't it be still as do-able if I just declare to Amazon that the package I have received was plain empty ? I'm ordering a relatively small with little weight (iPhone 14 Pro) with a juicy account, they wouldn't suspect a thing. No?
