I made a mistake though, UPS uses the tracking number when receiving and sending the item

Why was It a mistake?

because if UPS didn't use the tracking number (so only the Maxicode), I could have completely falsified the tracking number and the package would be undetectable by Apple once delivered but displayed as delivered using Maxicode

unfortunately the delivery man has to scan the tracking number before handing over the package, which makes it essential and Apple can still track me

Does DHL need to scan the tracking number as well?
