I’ve been around since the actual SEing days not the refunding phase, but I have just seen a post about someone talking about having submitted too many police reports? Guys no, please don’t file actual police reports, instead use action fraud, you can fill in fake details and you get a real crime reference number. I’ve used real details and nothing happens. This allows you to keep on the safer end of the stick. They ask how did you get this, say you contacted the police and they gave it you over the phone, say they said they are too busy to deal with such a low priority crime especially over the holidays (only say the last part during the holiday)

Are you suggesting to submit fakes info to the swine, or to just make it up? How do you get the ref no.? Do you get a real one somehow/ Or do you just make one up?

So essentially yes, you fill in the form, and type whatever you want and you get a crime reference number at the end, screenshot it,  and you’re sorted. Go give it a try now, it doesn’t cost anything at all! It’s a real reference number so the claim should go through.
