They did not rebill me, although they sent me emails. I just removed the card (hopefully this won't come back biting). They should not have the rights to bill your card when it is unlinked

How long has it been since you received these emails?  Was it emails of the same type as the ones I received?

And i hope they havent any right to rebill if the card is unlinked but im really not sur of that...

Around 1.5 years ago. But to be safe you can block the card and order a new one, I am in no ways an expert on this field. In my country even if they sent me debt collectors, I would tell them to fuck off and that's all.
