Jbhifi is requesting a photo of the back of the apple box for the SN.. “We contacted Apple and they required us to send them the serial number of your watch. Could you please send us a photo of the serial number from your watch (it should be on back of the box)?”

Does this mean apple will lock the watch?

But if they're asking you, maybe the don't have the sold SN on record so you could theoretically find any photo of a random apple watch online and send that

Yeah that is a possibility but also a risk as if they find out if bullshitting them. I heard mothered say before it is a slim chance they do actually blacklist the watch..

So if i find a watch on let’s say FB Marketplace with the exact same model i could use that to show them?

Worth a try I guess, you can always claim you took the photo of the wrong box as your partner also has one in the same color
Or risk it and see if apple doesn't really ban you (which I doubt anyway)
